Terms of Use
BookMeTable Terms of Use
Last updated: July 1, 2025
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of the BookMeTable website, mobile app, and related services (the “Services”).
By using our Services, creating an account, or clicking to accept these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to them and that you are legally able to do so.
1. Our Services
BookMeTable provides services that help users:
• search for restaurants
• make restaurant reservations
• join waitlists
• receive booking confirmations, updates, and cancellations
• in some cases, make payments or use additional related services
We act as a platform connecting diners and participating restaurants.
2. Reservations and Waitlists
When you make a reservation or join a waitlist through our Services, we send your request to the relevant restaurant based on the availability information they provide to us.
If your request is accepted, we may send you confirmations, reminders, changes, or cancellation notices by email, text message, push notification, or other electronic means.
Availability, wait times, and booking status are determined by the restaurant and may change.
3. Cancellations and No-Shows
If you cannot attend a reservation, you should cancel it as soon as possible and at least 30 minutes in advance, unless the restaurant states otherwise.
Some restaurants may require card details to secure a reservation. If you fail to cancel in line with a restaurant’s cancellation policy, you may be charged by that restaurant.
If you repeatedly fail to attend reservations without cancelling, we may suspend or restrict your account or access to the Services.
If you join a waitlist and no longer wish to remain on it, you should remove yourself through the Services or contact the restaurant directly.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use BookMeTable only for genuine personal or authorised business booking purposes.
You must not:
• make false, duplicate, speculative, or fraudulent bookings
• resell reservations or waitlist places
• misuse the Services or interfere with their operation
• copy, scrape, crawl, or automatically access the Services without permission
• use bots, automated agents, or AI tools to access or extract content without our approval
• upload or submit unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, or infringing content
• use the Services for illegal or unauthorised purposes
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have breached these Terms.
5. Your Account
You may need to create an account to use some features.
You agree to:
• provide accurate and current information
• keep your login details secure
• update your details when they change
• notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless required otherwise by law.
6. Payments
Some restaurants or services may require payment details to secure reservations or process payments.
By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided. Payment processing may be handled by third-party processors or the relevant restaurant.
We are not responsible for charges applied by restaurants under their stated booking or cancellation terms.
7. Communications
By using the Services, you agree that we may send you service-related communications, including:
• reservation confirmations
• reminders
• updates
• cancellation notices
• support messages
• important account or security notices
Where permitted by law, we may also send marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
For text messages, you can stop messages by replying STOP.
8. User Content
You may be able to submit reviews, ratings, comments, photos, messages, or other content through the Services (“User Content”).
You are responsible for any User Content you submit. It must not be unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading, infringing, obscene, spammy, or otherwise objectionable.
By submitting User Content, you give BookMeTable a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services.
We may remove, moderate, or refuse User Content at our discretion.
9. AI Features
Some parts of the Services may use artificial intelligence, including generative AI, to support features such as messaging assistance, customer support, service improvements, and processing booking-related information.
Where we use third-party AI providers, we may take steps to limit the sharing of directly identifying information. AI-generated outputs are provided for convenience and may not always be accurate or complete, so you should review them before relying on them.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other materials made available through the Services, excluding your User Content, belong to BookMeTable or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use the Services only for your personal, lawful use. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
11. Third-Party Services and Restaurants
Restaurants are independent businesses and are responsible for their own services, availability, food, pricing, policies, offers, cancellations, and customer experience.
Our Services may also interact with third-party platforms, payment processors, login providers, or other partners. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content.
Any dispute relating to a restaurant booking, restaurant service, or third-party service should generally be resolved directly with that restaurant or provider.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at any time if:
• you breach these Terms
• we suspect fraud, abuse, or misuse
• required by law
• necessary to protect our platform, users, restaurants, or business interests
You may stop using the Services at any time.
13. Disclaimer
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookMeTable does not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free, or that all booking requests will be accepted by restaurants.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookMeTable will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, business, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from your use of the Services.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, services, or policies of restaurants or third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BookMeTable, its affiliates, officers, employees, and representatives from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of:
• your misuse of the Services
• your breach of these Terms
• your User Content
• your violation of any law or third-party rights
16. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will apply when posted. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law requires otherwise.
Any disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
